Day 1 – Arrival Jujuy – Purmamarca
Welcome to Jujuy!! A transfer will be waiting for you at Jujuy airport (JUJ) ready to take to your hotel in Purmamarca. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax at the hotel and enjoy of the landscape.

Day 2 – Salinas Grandes Salt Flat
After breakfast we will start our way to visit Salinas Grandes. Salta Desert is the name of a salt flat bordering the Argentine provinces of Salta and Jujuy, located in the Altiplano, in northern Argentina. Located 66 km from Purmamarca and accessed through National Route 52, they extend over an area of 212 km² in the department of Tumbaya in Jujuy and in the department of La Poma in Salta. The origin of the Salinas Grandes of Jujuy and Salta dates back to an extensive period temporarily located between 5 and 10 million years BC. In such an extended period, the basin of this salt flat was covered with waters with a large number of salts from volcanic activity. After the visit we go back to our accommodation in Purmamarca

After breakfast the rest of the day is at leisure to visit Purmamarca on our own. At the indicated time we transfer to Tilcara where we will spend the night.

Day 4 – Tilcara
Free Day in Tilcara to visit the picturesque city on our own. Before dinner, we will have the presentation of the guide, who will help us to select the necessary equipment as well as the final assembly of the backpack.

Day 5 – Tilcara – Veranada de Yutos Pampa
Early in the morning we transfer to Alfarcito (2900 meters above the sea level) where we begin the journey on foot with a slow and constant ascent paying special careful to the altitude. It is very important to keep us hidratate along the entire trip. After a few hours of walking, we reach Camp Laguna at 4100 meters, this is the highest point of the entire travesty. After lunch, we start descending, to Yutos Pampa, at 3350 meters where we will spend our first night.
This day we will admire beautiful views of the desertic Quebrada with its nice colors all around us.

Day 6 – Veranada de Yutos Pampa – Molulo
After a delicious breakfast, made by one of the local families that welcome us at their homes, we start our day ascending to Cumbre Grande hill. The trail continues along a large ride and at the bottoms of the valley, we will able to appreciate the vegetation of the cloud forest. In the afternoon we arrive at the community of Molulo, at 2950 meters.

Day 7 – Molulo – Abra del Potrero
Today we will be able to enjoy breakfast and contact with locals at the refuge and at the mid-morning we continue our travesty. Today we will observe that little by little the first trees appear until we reach Abra del Potrero.

Day 8 – Abra del Potrero – San Lucas
Today we will see a significant change in the landscapes. More and more trees appear in red earth. After undertaking a stretch of forest that continues to climb, we see the hamlet of San Lucas located 2500 meters above sea level. We slowly begin the descent until we reach the little town.

Day 9 – San Lucas – Calilegua – Jujuy
Last stage of the journey between San Lucas and San Francisco. The path continues along the south bank of the San Lucas River, the dense vegetation and the deep valley. After crossing Valle Grande River, we ascend to Peña Alta, where the trek ends. At Peña Alta, a transfer will be waiting for us to cross the small town of San Francisco and the entire Calilegua National Park. Until we reach the city of San Salvador de Jujuy where we will spend the night.

Day 10 – Departure Jujuy
At the indicated time we transfer to Jujuy airport where our services end.
